What To Expect At A Workshop
Itching to learn a new skill? Want a creative and unique way to get quality time with your child? Kid Lab workshops are designed for building confidence and curiosity in your child! We’ll provide the materials and instructions—you bring the creativity and a desire to learn!
Whether we’re building toys, homemade instruments, or constructing a new, creative invention, our workshops are a great way to have something to do with your kid(s) and have fun in the process!
How much does a workshop cost?
The cost for each workshop is designed to be affordable, helping to cover the cost of our materials and future Kid Lab events. Because each workshop is different, make sure you check out the details below. For each additional registration, an automatic 10% off discount will be applied.

Teaching By Local Artists
Kid Lab partners with local Raleigh artists to encourage learning new skills so your kid can build confidence through a hand-on activity.
Make A Take-Home Project
During each workshop, we’ll put your kid’s creativity to work where they’ll make an educational toy to take back home. Perfect for children ages 5-9!
Learn Through Play
Research shows that giving children open-ended materials (like sticks, clay, paint, cloth, wood) builds confidence, competency, independence and authentic expression. It can also help children avoid boredom as they begin seeing the creative potential in everything. In short, it fosters imagination! As with all of our programs, each workshop will provide plenty of opportunities for playful learning.
