Kid Lab is a nonprofit, community-driven mobile makerspace that offers creative experiences to kids and their grownups. We are a team of teaching artists and creative catalysts passionate about building community through tinkering, making art and playing together. We like to say that Kid Lab is where kids play to learn and adults learn to play!
In addition to our usual makerspace programming, we frequently work with community partners on custom projects like art installations, murals, pop-up art workshops, interactive yard games, and themed make-n-take crafts at community events (like restaurant openings or afterschool STEM programs).
In May of 2023, we purchased a 12 ft trailer to bring our dream of a mobile makerspace to life! We’re thrilled to now be able to bring our programming and creative workshops to the Triangle area.
